Vinha Maria Red – Fresh, Modern & Juicy
Vinha Maria Red embodies the perfect blend of tradition and modernity from one of Portugal’s most historic wine regions. This wine offers an incredible value for money, especially for the independent wine market. Some have even described it as ‘a light Pinot Noir with an Atlantic breeze’—a testament to its fresh, juicy profile.
Crafted with care, the wine undergoes total destemming, alcoholic fermentation at 26°C, and a prolonged skin maceration. Half of the wine is then aged in French oak barrels for 6 months, adding complexity and depth.
TASTING NOTES
This vibrant, light ruby wine delights with aromas of fresh strawberries and wild forest notes. On the palate, you'll find a medley of red and forest fruits, complemented by light toasted aromas and balanced tannins. In short, Vinha Maria Red is fruity, silky, elegant, and harmoniously structured.
FOOD PAIRINGS
This wine is perfect on its own or paired with Mediterranean platters, tomato salads, roasted peppers, dried meats, or canned fish. It also pairs beautifully with Italian favourites like pizza or tomato-based pasta dishes.
