Casa Santos Lima – Leading Wine Producer in the Lisboa Region
Casa Santos Lima is the largest wine producer from the Lisboa region, responsible for over one-third of the exports of wines under the Vinho Regional Lisboa and DOC Alenquer appellations. With significant investment in advanced wine technology, they continue to innovate and remain one of the most decorated vineyards globally in terms of awards.
This fourth-generation, family-owned estate spans over 350 hectares of vineyards, originally founded by Joaquim Santos Lima in the late 19th century, a renowned wine producer and exporter of his time. The estate comprises several "Quintas" that have belonged to the family for over a century. Under the leadership of José Luis Santos Lima, the founder’s great-grandson, the brand saw significant growth, particularly with the launch of their own bottling plant and labels.
TASTING NOTES
This wine offers excellent quality at an affordable price. It boasts aromas of ripe red fruits, balanced with a touch of oak from 3 months in oak barrels. With a medium body, it is well-balanced and fresh, providing a long and pleasant finish.
